The Ohio Bubble
About Us
We are three friends who decided Ohio needed another podcast but who are we? As a group, we met at work in 2018 and found ourselves delving into conversations for hours about a variety of topics. Nick was the first to mention creating a podcast about Ohio and now it's a reality. Individually, who are we? Let us tell you:
Nick: I grew up in suburban Columbus with my parents and an awesome Austrian Oma (grandma in German). After graduating from The Ohio State University with a Geography degree, I worked as a travel agent and traveled vicariously through my clients. I now work as a GIS Specialist for an internet provider. A theatre kid in high school, I continue to share my love of music as a church cantor and the sole member of the folktronica band Merchantising.
Kelsey: I grew up in a small town in Northeast Ohio with my parents and sister where I spent most of my time playing soccer, going to dance classes, and caring for my menagerie of pet that I'm sure you'll hear all about. I graduated from OSU with a degree in Zoology and am currently living in Columbus working for a telecommunications engineering company. I'm pretty well known for my sarcasm so keep an ear out for any fun comments that make it past the editing stage.
Katie: Born and raised in north Columbus, I went k through 12 in the Dublin school system before going to college at CSCC and Miami University for electromechanical engineering. I am very close with my family, one sister and my parents. I work as an electrical engineer in mid-west Ohio and volunteer at my church as an audio engineer and security. I have too many interests to count and if you ever hear tip-tapping away on a keyboard, it's usually me trying to Google something.
